Our Easter

We had way too much fun. . . we spent the entire morning cleaning our crazy cluttered house so we could accommodate everyone. The Settles, Petersons, Jamie, Damon, Kaina, Carol, and Kimo got to our place at about 5pm and that's when the party started. The kids had too much fun. . . and that's what matters most. They shot each other with the air powered "bazooka". Then they had a egg walk. . . raw egg on the spoon and raced around a chair and back. The egg toss was next and then they did a three legged race. The mamas made all the kiddies bunny bags outta brown bags and construction paper. Then the hunt was on. The kids found the eggs in less time than it took us to hide the eggs. Then we ate. . . mmmmmm korean bbq beef. . . teriyaki chicken. . . kaubi ribs. . . mac salad. . . potato salad. . . rice of course. . . fried noodles. . . hotdogs. . . cookies. . . grilled pineapple with your choice of adding li hing powder to it. Piko's mom and Wayne came by with Aunt Judy and Uncle Gene. It was really nice to see them and we made them eat because we had so much food. Thank you everyone for making all the delicious food and coming to our home to have some fun.

That's not the end of it tho'. It started getting cold so Piko took the grill apart and made it into a fire pit. We sang and laughed and made lots of noise until 10pm. . . don't want to irritate our old neighbors. I wanted to tell ghost stories but everyone was too chicken! So I waited till only had a little of us left. The Settles and Kimo stayed over and we stayed up till about 3:30 in the morning reading OBAKE files. For those of you who don't know. . . Obake means ghost in Japanese and the book Obake Files is a compilation of some of Hawaii's ghost stories. The scary thing about these stories is that they are true. . . not urban legends and that is why no one wanted to join in on the scare until later and let me tell you everyone ended up sleeping cuddled together on the floor of our living room because they were scared and well it was cold! I love ghost stories. . . they really don't scare me, they intrigue me. I have the second book of the Obake files (Obake Files: Ghostly Encounters in Supernatural Hawaii) and really want the first book (Obake Files: Ghost stories in Hawaii) and the third book (Secret Obake Casebook). Piko I hope you are reading this. . . my birthday is coming up soon, hint hint! Secretly I want to be a ghost hunter!
